Retreat Leadership

Many of the offerings of the Advent Spirituality Center may be tailor-made and offered for your church or group at your location - a one-day or a weekend designed just for you.

Examples of retreats designed and led by the Advent Center for churches and groups:
  • Tools for Deepening the Spiritual Life: Scripture, Silence, the Labyrinth and Spiritual Direction — a series of Wednesday night seminars for First Baptist Church, Asheville, N.C.
  • Pathways to God: Scripture, Nature, Writing and Movement — a spiritual life retreat for Campbell Divinity School, Buies Creek, N.C.
  • Becoming the Beloved: Taken, Blessed, Broken and Given — a retreat for McAfee Divinity School students based on Henri Nouwen's book "Life of the Beloved," Atlanta, Ga.
  • Practicing the Presence of God: In Scripture, Silence and Service — a retreat for Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla.
  • Keeping the Sabbath Wholly: Praying with All Our Senses — a retreat for Providence Baptist Church, Hendersonville, N.C.
  • Fill My Cup, Lord — a deacon's retreat for First Baptist Church, Southern Pines, N.C.
